A Moment of Clarity

IS GOD DELAYING OR DENYING YOUR BLESSINGS?

Do you find yourself in a valley experience after being obedient to God’s will? You moved with persistence when He asked you to move to another state, take that new job, start a ministry, marry your spouse, adopt that child, or start the business. You confirmed His will several times and received the answer. Now only several months into the plan, things are not going as expected. The triumphant start has turned into what seems to be repetitive hardships.

The tests you’re facing turned you into a prayer warrior. Not to mention you invested your last dime into the mission, sought wisdom, completed new courses, read several books, applied the new skills, and worked the latest strategies—but still nothing! You sacrificed the things you love to do in order to reap future rewards. You even ask God, “What am I doing wrong?” But you get no answer. So months and even years go by and the situation hasn’t changed much. As soon as the breakthrough seems promising, you find it’s nothing more than a false alarm. By now doubt and fear have crept in, your faith is on the edge of wavering, and you are not sure how long you can hold on. To make matters worse, everyone around you is progressing and getting ahead—but you’re working harder and applying yourself more diligently. And being as though the people in your circle of influence aren’t in the same situation, they are trying to figure out what you are doing wrong. But, my friend you must hold on.

Isaiah 48:17 NKJV says Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. God is the only One that can teach, lead, and redeem you from this lengthy winter season. If you are following God it doesn’t matter if things aren’t going the way you envisioned them to go. It’s all a part of the process He implemented for your life. As you stand in your faith and continue in obedience you must know that the tides are turning in the spirit realm. The seeds of faithfulness, perseverance, longsuffering, and commitment you’re sowing and have sown are not all for nothing. Your delay does not mean denial.

There are many reasons that God will slow our pace. When this happens, it does not always constitute that you are doing something wrong or headed down a slippery slope. If anything, this journey is showing you that you cannot do anything apart from God—absolutely nothing. God always wants you to have plans and something to aspire to as that give Him something to work with. He longs to give you the desires of your heart. Therefore, any delay He imposes is to bring greatness out of you. When you are in a position to receive His best, He will not hold back. Also, The Father is really enjoying where the two of you are at this moment. You may not see it that way, but God see’s that this is where He has your attention as this bond is critical to your future success.

During these seasons of silence and setbacks, God is performing some of His best work. You find out who you are and what you are made of too. Though you may only see the things you want ahead—He sees your heart and the condition it is in now. The surgery that He’s carrying out in your heart calls for you to hold steady at this pace. He is gouging some things out of you that don’t belong. You know those nasty things that may interfere with the vision and blessings He desires to come to fruition in your life. Additionally, He is also using you to help others to grow. If He does not get those things rectified now, they will remain a stronghold or a stumbling block. In this season use your time wisely. Stay faithful to God and build your foundation on the solid rock. Praise Him in advance and bless His name regardless of where you are right now. Show appreciation for the many things He has already done and the doors He’s already opened. Do not stop believing no matter what it looks like at this moment. No longer compare your situation with that of others. The God you serve is creative enough and has the capacity to write your story as an original. His power can also turn your situation around within seconds. The vision will come to pass! The season will soon come for you to reap the harvest from the seeds you’ve been planting. Your tears of sorrow will turn into tears of joy as you reflect on the love and care God took to prepare you for the blessings. Surely, it will be too large for you to contain. So don’t give up. Shout halleluiah right where you as this delay is surely not denial.
